The creators of i-D Magazine, Tricia Jones and her husband Terry Jones, have created an amazing exhibition called Soul i-D which features special works inspired by questions Tricia posed to artists such as “What is beyond price?” and “What have you learned that you would like to pass on?” The exhibition, launched in 2008, has finally made its way round to Enjoy Museum at Beijing’s renowned 798 Art Zone. For the special Beijing exhibition, JOYCE teamed up with i-D mag to welcome to new photographers to the show: Chen Man and Wing Shya.
JOYCE held a preview of the exhibition at their flagship store on Queen’s Road Central, showing iconic old issues of i-D mag as well as featured new works. I especially loved the covers shot by Chen Man and the iconic military cover of Kate Moss. At the JOYCE store, there was also a fun photobooth to shoot your very own i-D mag cover! So fun, I’m seriously obsessed with photobooths and really want one in my house!
